BMW Pirtek Racing’s Andrew Jordan took a career-first victory in the Pickup Truck Racing Championship during a one-off outing in the BARC-supported series at Brands Hatch last weekend.
Running in partnership with Matt Roach Racing, the 2013 British Touring Car Champion finished runner-up to former BTCC racer Lea Wood in the opening contest, before taking to the top step in a lights-to-flag victory in the season finale.
The action-packed series, first launched in 1997, features 230bhp racing specials and is among the most popular club racing championships in the UK.
“It’s feisty stuff out there, I can tell you!” Jordan told the official MSV website.
“The racing’s good because it’s hard but fair. I felt such a rookie on the start – to be fair it’s quite good to start at the back just to get into it.”
The Pirtek-backed racer is yet to confirm his plans for the 2018 season.
