Rob Huff to stand in for injured Tom Chilton at PMR for Silverstone

World Touring Car Championship driver Rob Huff will return to the British Touring Car Championship this weekend [16-17 September] at Silverstone in place of the injured Tom Chilton.

Huff, who stands a chance at a second WTCC title alongside recent success in the Chinese Touring Car Championship, will pilot Chilton’s Vauxhall Astra alongside likely Jack Sears Trophy winner Senna Proctor.

He last raced in the UK’s tin-top series in 2004, claiming victories at Brands Hatch and Snetterton behind the wheel of a SEAT Toledo Cupra.

“These new Astras have never been in the touring car world until this year, so I am looking forward to the challenge of something different,” commented Huff.

“Tom has put me in the best position possible considering the events at Rockingham and I am looking forward to getting to know the car this Saturday and seeing what can be done with it on Sunday.”
