Daniel Lloyd out for further success at Oschersleben

Craft-Bamboo Lukoil’s Daniel Lloyd will be looking for further point scores this coming weekend at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben, which hosts rounds 14 and 15 of the 2017 TCR International Series.

Since replacing the now-retired Hugo Valente at the Salzburgring last month, the Huddersfield-based driver has taken points in each of the previous weekend, with the expectations being higher for the action around the 3.667-km circuit.

“We’re going into this weekend in a good place;” said Lloyd, who will be back at a familiar track, which he raced at in both the now-defunct VW Scirocco R-Cup and Porsche Super Cup

“Despite not having the best run of luck in qualifying in Hungary, the cars showed great pace and have gone well at this circuit in the past, so I’m feeling quietly confident.”

Lloyd picked up points at the first race in Austria, whilst race two at the Hungaroring saw him bolster his total points tally so far to 14, and feels more confident with some welcome race mileage under his belt in the SEAT Léon.

“I’m dialled into the car now and we’re racing at a circuit that I know and like,” admitted Lloyd, who is also trying to assist the team’s efforts towards title glory, who are 79 points behind Norbert Michelisz’s M1RA squad.

“If we can manage to stay out of trouble and not get collected by other people’s mistakes this time out, everything points to a strong result for the Craft-Bamboo squad.”
