Audi Sport’s Jamie Green has been excluded from the first race of the weekend at the Hungaroring, following on from a technical infringement on the #53 Hoffman Group RS5 DTM found in parc fermé conditions post race.
The Team Rosberg driver retains his seventh place finish provisionally, subject to an appeal lodged by the team itself, who have until Wednesday evening to submit this in writing to the DMSB (German Motorsport Federation).
The decision was taken after a gap on the front diffuser on Green’s car was found to have been sealed, which contravenes article 2.10.1 of the current technical regulations, as a result of Mercedes-AMG DTM initially making an official protest.
The hearing at the Court of Appeal following on from Team Rosberg’s appeal will take place in a few weeks’ time, and will decide as to whether Green will retain the six points earned in Saturday’s race.
