Adam Morgan confirms return with WIX Racing

Adam Morgan will contest a sixth successive season in the British Touring Car Championship after his family-run Ciceley Motorsport team secured the backing of WIX Filters for a fourth campaign.

Morgan, who added to his tally of race victories last season, will return once again to pilot the Mercedes A-Class alongside stablemate Aiden Moffat, who similarly confirmed his return with Laser Tools Racing in December.

The move comes after a strategic decision by the company to continue to increase it’s profile across it’s motorsport commitments.

“I am over the moon that WIX Filters are continuing with us for 2017,” said Morgan.

“Our little family team is wholly dependent upon sponsorship and without our sponsors we simply wouldn’t be able to go racing, we fully appreciate the importance of all the teams associates and work hard all year to ensure that we over deliver on our pre-season promises. WIX Filters have been a massive part of our team and long may this continue, we are the perfect fit!”

Norman Burgess, Commercial Director at Ciceley Motorsport, believes the continuation of a mutually beneficial relationship stands the team in good stead for the new season, with both parties under no illusions as to how the other operates.

“This will be the fourth consecutive year that WIX Filters have supported the team, we know how each other works and exactly what each other expects from this mutually beneficial relationship. WIX Filters continues to be instrumental in the promotion of both the teams and Adam’s brand. WIX Filters has a proud heritage in Motorsport.” he commented.

Last year Morgan unveiled an altered yellow and black livery at the annual Autosport Show; it remains to be seen when his new challenger will hit the track for testing before the new season gets underway at Brands Hatch in April.
