Ciceley Racing unveils WIX-backed Mercedes livery

Ciceley Racing have revealed the first image of the livery for their new-for-2014 WIX Filters-backed Mercedes-Benz A-Class which Adam Morgan will use in the 2014 British Touring Car Championship.

The family-run team will enter their second season in the BTCC using the new Mercedes, which has been built by taking common NGTC components from their former Toyota Avensis racer.

It also marks the first time that a Mercedes has appeared on the BTCC grid since the late 1980s, bringing the total number of unique cars competing in the 2014 championship to 14.

The team opted to showoff the new livery for their Mercedes on Tuesday, which will feature the striking black-and-gold of title sponsor WIX filters.

Team Manager Russell Morgan, father of racer Adam, is pleased to be able to showoff the new partnership ahead of the first reveal of the new car in March.

“I am extremely pleased with the look of the show car and the overall partnerships we are enjoying this year with WIX and all the supporting partnerships,” said Morgan. “I am looking forward to having the race car design implemented ready for the first round at the end of March.

“The commercial value of a title sponsor can never be underestimated. The WIX Racing team has already demonstrated what it is able to achieve in the BTCC, with regards to working with the driver and the team to raise both profiles. They are passionate about interacting with all of the team and especially the fans with giveaways and competitions, so there’s a lot to come on race weekends.

“Their technical expertise is just as important to the team as their financial assistance and this has clearly been reflected in the design of the car.”
