The tyre choice decisions of the DTM drivers have been revealed: ten drivers will start the first race of the season at the Hockenheimring on the standard tyre, with twelve starting on the softer option tyre.
Among the front four, poleman Timo Scheider, fellow front-row starter Augusto Farfus and fourth-placed Robert Wickens will begin the race on the option tyre, whilst third-placed Christian Vietoris begins on the standard tyre.
The majority of drivers in the top twelve favour starting the race on softer rubber, with just Vietoris, Mattias Ekström and Gary Paffett on the harder tyre at the start.

All drivers must use the option tyre at least once in the race.
