Touring car stars to compete at Bathurst

World Touring Car champion Rob Huff is amongst the leading touring car names set to compete in the 2013 Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour Race between the 8th and 10th February.

2012 WTCC champion Huff is set to pilot an Audi R8 LMS for Peter Conroy Motorsport alongside Australians Peter Conroy and James Winslow. The race will mark Brit Huff’s first visit to the famous Mount Panorama circuit. Other WTCC stars to feature in the event include current and former Engstler Motorsport drivers Franz Engstler, Charles Kaki Ng and Kristian Poulsen.

DTM legend Bernd Schneider and his former team-mate Thomas Jäger will also start the race in an Erebus Motorsport Mercedes SLS AMG GT3. Former BTCC racers Peter Kox and Cragi Baird are also set to line-up in the event, whilst reigning Swedish Touring Car and Italian Superstars champion Johan Kristofferson will be at the wheel of a Phoenix Racing Audi R8 LMS Ultra.

As usual a swathe of V8 Supercar drivers will also take to the starting grid, including Craig Lowndes, Jason Bright, Warren Luff, Steven Johnson, Steven Richards, David Russell, David Wall, Tim Slade and Lee Holdsworth.

The event will see drivers from 17 nationalities take to the grid, with a total of 51 cars entered into the event.
