Robb Holland ready to rock Rockingham

Robb Holland heads to another unknown as he prepares for his first time racing at the Rockingham Motor Speedway, the first of a Northamptonshire double header.

Having taken the first Championship point for Rotek Racing at Snetterton, the trip north of the border proved to be less fruitful for Holland as he suffered substantial damage during the first race at Knockhill.

Looking to bounce back from the troubles in Fife, Holland is hopeful of progress at Rockingham – a circuit he feels he should go well at as it is similar to circuits in America.

“Rockingham is an oval and I’m an American, so I should go well there,” explains Holland. “It looks to be a more straightforward track than Knockhill – more like Snetterton – and I don’t think it will take too many laps to figure out which way it goes.”

The American racer has also confirmed that the #67 Audi S3 Saloon will have further upgrades ahead of the Rockingham races and he is hoping that the upgrades will help keep him away from trouble.

“Rotek Racing is bringing a load of updates to the Audi S3 saloon this weekend and we should have better pace. The suspension will be tweaked, we’re getting a handle on the differential and there will be other changes of that nature.

“As a result, I’d love to finish in the points in all three races,” adds Holland. “If we can extract more speed from the car, it will be easier to score points on a consistent basis, because you’re attacking rather than defending, which makes you vulnerable to other drivers’ messes, like at Knockhill. I’m really looking forward to the weekend.”
