2027 BTCC Calendar revealed

The 2027 British Touring Car Championship calendar has been revealed, featuring ten race weekends from April to October, before the 2026 season has even begun.

The tried-and-tested formula will see the season take place in almost identical order to the 2026 sequence, with only the August and September dates at Croft and Donington Park swapping order.

The record-early announcement is designed to give teams, drivers, stakeholders and fans the maximum amount of time to plan ahead for 2027 whilst also allowing for other series to plan their schedules around the UK’s top package.

As is customary, the championship will feature a six-week summer break between the Oulton Park round in June and the Thruxton event in late July.

Maximising the school holiday period, it is notable that there will be a run of three events in four weeks, starting with Thruxton (24 – 25 July) and heading up north to Knockhill (7-8 August) and Croft (14-15 August).

Whilst Silverstone has been set a provisional date of 25-26 September, this date is marked as being provisional.

The season concludes as usual on 9 – 10 October on the Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit.

“Agreeing our dates so early with our partners at ITV ensures we have locked in the primary slots for our continued all-day-live and free television coverage on ITV4.

“It also benefits the wider British motorsport community, as other organisers can continue scheduling their own events.

“Furthermore, locking-in our plans so soon for 2027 enables us to look even further ahead to 2028 for what I am sure will provide several unforgettable celebrations for the BTCC’s 70^th anniversary.

“I’m told we are probably the first major championship in the world to have already announced next year’s schedule and, if true, then I’m delighted to do so!”
