John Filippi confirms return for fourth full WTCC season

Frenchman John Filippi has confirmed that he will return for a fourth World Touring Car Championship season in 2017, continuing with backing from car parts company Oscaro.

21-year-old Filippi revealed on social media that he will be continuing in the WTCC. “I am very happy to announce that I will be driving again next season in the WTCC,” wrote Filippi on Twitter.

No further details were given from Filippi regarding his team or car, but it is possible that he will continue with Spanish outfit Campos Racing for a fourth full season, which would be his third at the wheel of a Chevrolet RML Cruze TC1.
