British Touring Car Championship organiser TOCA has confirmed the team entries for the 2017 season, with 32 of the TOCA BTCC Licences (TBLs) allocated.
The most significant change on the list is that the Kent-based Motorbase Performance team will step up to become a three-car squad for the forthcoming season, having received a loaned TBL from Welch Motorsport, who will not run a car as an outright team in 2017.
Elsewhere, Power Maxed Racing have been allocated two TBLs from TOCA for 2017, following the news that the squad have received manufacturer backing from Vauxhall.
The announcement also reveals that BTC Racing will return to the grid under the name of ‘BTC Norlin Racing’, having been absent for two years since the 2014 season.
