Weight break given to Engstler Audi cars

Liqui Moly Team Engstler’s two Audi TT Cup cars have been given a further weight break for the TCR International Series, following first practice in Valencia.

The cars have been granted a further 30 kg reduction in weight, which follows a ruling on Friday which also granted the Audis, along with the SEAT and Opel cars, to run a10 mm lower ride height than the Honda cars.

The move means that the Audi cars will now run at 1,230 kg. The heaviest car on the grid is the Honda Civic TCR at 1,295 kg, which was given an additional 35 kg for using a racing gearbox.
